New $30,000 Advertising Competition From Samsung & Zooppa

Samsung is looking for aspiring advertising creatives to make video, print & banner ads about its new Galaxy Tab computer and compete for $30,000 worth of prizes. The contest starts on October 1st and ends November 19th. Videos submitted before 4pm on October 30th are eligible for an Early Entry Prize of $5,000 and will still be considered for the grand prize of $7,500. The Samsung Galaxy Tab transforms the entertainment experience; whether it is reading, watching a movie or social media sharing. We are looking for videos, prints & banner ads that answer the question: if you had a Galaxy Tab, what creative things would you use it for? Hold a film festival, in the palm of your hand? 48 Hour Film Project

The Los Angeles 48 Hour Film Project Los Angeles Filmmakers Take to the Streets This weekend, 1200 filmmakers from Los Angeles are making films in the 48 Hour Film Project! These films will screen at Laemmle Monica 4-Plex (dates and times are listed below or to the right). Here are some important notes for 48HFP filmmakers: Elements: Media: You must submit your film on one of the media listed to the right. Documents: You must submit releases for all team members, all music, all locations, and any other copyrighted material, as well as a team leader's agreement, a roster, and a certification statement. This summer, the King Kong 360 | 3-D attraction is making its return to the Universal Studios Tour, and to celebrate, we're giving away $15,000 to the best short films in our "King Kong's Path to Universal Studios Hollywood" competition. The best work may be exhibited on the jumbotron in Citywalk, online and on-air.
