IFC JOINS THE NEW YORK TELEVISION FESTIVAL TO DISCOVER NEW TALENT

Create an original pilot for the chance to win $25k and a Development Deal with the Network.

Early Submission Deadline - Wednesday, May 5, 2010
Final Submission Deadline - Wednesday, June 30, 2010

IFC TV is partnering with the New York Television Festival to discover the next generation of sharp, cool and twisted original programming. From Food Party to Bollywood Hero and The Whitest Kids U Know, IFC champions brilliant out-of-the-box originals, and your pilot could be their next hit show.

Now entering its 6th year, the Independent Pilot Competition at the NYTVF showcases the best in independently produced television pilots across all genres. Since 2008, the Festival has honored the most innovative pilot each year with the "Out of the Box" Award. The winner of the award in its first year was Food Party, now airing on IFC every Tuesday night at 10 PM. In 2010 IFC will present the "Out of the Box" award and give the winner a $25,000 development deal to go with it!

IFC is a place to do TV differently. While the NYTVF accepts pilots across all categories, IFC is looking to build on their success in the alternative comedy and unconventional non-fiction space, so theyĆ¢€™ll pay special attention to scripted comedies in any genre (narrative, sketch, animation, you name it), and non-fiction shows on subjects that will pique their viewers' interest and speak to their passions.

The New York Television Festival "Independent Pilot Competition" accepts entries of independently funded pilots, 4-22 minutes in length, across all genres. Artists are permitted to submit multiple entries to the competition. All entries must be received by the NYTVF no later than 11:59 PM on June 30, 2010. This is not a postmark date. For more information, go to www.nytvf.com/2010_ipc.htm

We eagerly await your submissions.
