New eHarmony Film Competition!

Hi Filmmaker’s Alliance Community,
If you’ve owned a TV at any point in the last 7 years you’ve seen an eHarmony commercial. The campaign has been, virtually, without variation. White background. Loving couples talking about how happy they are. Fun music. Rinse. Repeat. We’ve had enough of this approach, and as the director of eHarmony’s Social Media efforts I’m leading the charge in a new direction. We want to move away from happy couples and focus on single people. We want to communicate one of two ideas.
· eHarmony is your best ally when it comes to dating
· eHarmony has the best pool of high quality singles to date.
We’re reaching out to you for help. We want a 60-90 second video piece that will run across various social media platforms. We want something that people will want to share with their friends and that means it should be funny, clever, profoundly moving, or amazing. We’re having a competition and the winner receives $8,000 in cash. It will work like this.
You’ll submit your video anytime between December 5th, 2011 and January 6th, 2012 on the contest page of eHarmony’s Facebook page. Since the contest won’t launch until December 5th the page isn’t currently up. It will live as a tab on this page - http://www.facebook.com/eharmony
On January 7th, a team of eHarmony employees will pick the top 4 contestants. Then the public will vote on those finalists for two weeks. The most votes is the winner!
There are only three guidelines – No sexual content. No parodies of our old commercials. No referring to our competition by name. (Creating a fake company is fine.)
